Words of advice from a precocious little four year old.

Miss Lydia is very, very smart.
I know, ’cause she told me so.

Her wisdom you won’t want to ignore,
even though she’s only four.

Don’t swallow the black watermelon seeds she said.
It’ll take the smarts from your head.

If her advice you do not heed,
your energy too will lose it’s speed.

“Where did you learn this?,” I asked in amazement.

She pondered as she gave reply, ‘I just knowed it.’

    Lydia’s Poem for Grandma

    Once there was a grandma
    Of love and kind
    And she loved her grandchildren
    She believed in God
And she really loved her grandchildren
And she did what God wanted her to say to the children
And Lydia was one of hers

Very cute poem and she is adorable in the picture. I remember being told that a watermelon would grow in my stomach if I swallowed the seeds. I was almost to afraid to even eat them until I found out that wasn’t true.

I’ll bet a lot of that wisdom came from Grandma.
