Some kittens should never be adopted. Wrote this for Halloween.

The Witch’s Cat
23 Oct 2011

A nice family moved into a big house
The neighborhood was just lovely
The kids had kids to play with
The back porch had a view so pretty

Happiness they felt there
Never thought of any wrong
With life they went right on
Happy as very good song

They decided to get a pet
A kitten they sought to find
A beat up truck with sign, “Free Kittens”
There they made up their mind

Old ratty woman with five kittens
All were so very playful
It took some time to make a choice
They chose the one so colorful

Home they took their kitten
Leaving the woman on the road
Who cackled wickedly
As they left down the road

Kitten played all around
She was loved by everyone
As she grew up big
At every house, visits were done

The children were struck first
With night and nights of nightmares
Madness stealing their souls
The cat was part of their snares

Then accident began
The cat was there for each one
The mother became suspicious
When the cat’s colors all became one

She tried to kill the cat
But she was too tricky
She tried to catch the cat
But she was too sneaky

Madness tainted every home
Hatred filled their hearts
Neighborly trust was gone
Life was lost in parts

When all was truly messed up
The cat returned to the old truck
Where the old lady did welcome her home
My pet I love how you killed their luck

Gosh! What a nasty old lady. I bet the family would think twice before buying another cat.
