A howl of sadness, of tears. Of death and loss over the years. Do you know the true reason’s of the wolf’s howl?

A lone wolf howls

Into the moon

One starry windy night

Mourning for others

The sweet Aroooo for family

And lost loved ones

The hunt yesterday

It had been a tragedy

So many had fallen forever

Including his wife

He stands alone

In the darkness

Facing his sadness

And at twilight

A single tear falls

Glistening, sliding down his cheek

It drops onto the grass,

And a new plant sprouts

Over the years this plant will be a bounty for the herd

Providing leaves and fruits to eat

But also leaving

The legacy of the lost wolf.

Lovely poem. I remember the time when I wanted a wolf as a pet. Then watched a movie about wolf’s as predators – changed my mind ever sinse.

    But I like them!
