A grandmother and grandson meeting for the first time.
It comes as no surprise,
He starts staring into her beautiful brown eyes.
She greets him with lovely smiles from across the room.
They begin to walk toward each other.
Wow, now their faces are in a zoom.
She reminds him as he gets nearer,
that grandmother is excited
because of his first chance to see her.
This old lady has been around for 9 decades.
And is still short, sassy, and sharp
like a pair of switch blades.
How can he know beauty in the eyes,
when the little man is only 5?
All he knows is that sparkle and smile
that made him stare for a while.
So when he reaches for his grandmother,
who is resting in her rocking chair.
She invites him on her lap by holding
her arms wide open so he can climb up there.
He smothers her with kisses and hugs.
She doesn’t mind if he’s irritating and bugs.
This is granny’s baby indefinitely.
Sad to say that this would be
the first and last time he’d see her.
She’s now resting forever in eternity.
