Heartaches and Headaches

As I write this I have memories that inflame and burn my heart
you were not only my friend you were my family a large part of my heart

We did everything together, we went everywhere together my mind holds
fond memories of the love we shared.

You say on the other hand the memories you hold are memories of anger and pain
How did we go from love to heartaches and headaches

It is hard for me to face the world, a world in which you were a large part of
We used to work together, we attend church together your friends are my friends

I look at pictures now and see some of what we shared together when on a whim
we went to Florida, and the myriad of other loving times we shared
How did that go from love to heartaches and headaches

You were the sun and I the earth orbiting around you, you the center of my existence
I long for the time that we can be together again having the love we had at he start
When we both shared a large part of each others heart, but now all I have is sadness
how I long to escape from all this madness.

No matter how hard I try I cannot forget, my mind is being torn asunder
it seems I cannot get out from under, all the pain and loss
How with all that we had, with all that we shared go from love to heartaches and headaches.
