A poem about life when everything you thought you knew is just a bunch of lies.
I thought about what I knew in life
Until I felt a stab from a sharp-edged knife.
Not only was the stab up into my arm,
But the people I knew seemed to be of harm.
They were watching me with their beady eyes,
And I realized that everything they told me was a pile of lies.
I went and walked further down the street,
Until I felt a sense of running through deceit.
I tried to pull through it; get away from the stack,
But I kept getting pelted with rocks and bad attacks.
Even the buildings were turning into monsters of fright,
And it made me not sleep night after night.
My world was now crashing down around me,
As snow turned into fire as hot as tea.
The sea began to make large waves of steel,
And soft silk towels felt as powerful as eels.
My world is one that I have never known,
All I wish is to feel, not alone.
