This poem is about our world and our lives. Sometimes we have to look beyond the simple colors of black and white.

The world’s not of black and white,

but all different shades of gray.

It’s not about the days before,

nor the days after today.

It matters not the things you seek,

nor the things you stow away.

Because the world’s not made of complexion,

but the simplicity of every day.

For life’s not about the destination,

but the road that leads the way.

It’s not about the time it takes,

but the experiences of the day.

It’s more about the memories,

the ones that are there to stay.

Because the more the world changes,

the more it stays the same.
