A satirical poem about an oppinionated independant college student and the lazy sister of her boyfriend.
I was making tea to pass the time,
Waiting for the clock to chime,
Signaling that it was finally time,
For me to be college-bound.
However, before I could do so,
I heard a peculiar sound.
My boyfriend’s sister had stirred at last,
If only to show her royal…well…you know.
The youngest sister was being given Kain.
She’d gotten up late for elemantary school again.
To which Hillary, the lazy sister, spouted,
“wake her up at 5:30 from now on instead!”
I went over that suggestion in my head,
The child’s bus arrives at 7:15,
No way did she need be up at 5:30 instead!
I voiced my opinion as I often do,
And just as often her eyes seemed to say,
“I am always right and not you.”
I sighed and gave facts that I knew to be true,
About the youngest siblings recently changed curfew.
However I was called nothing but rude,
The sister told me I had no right to intrude,
On matters between the sibling two,
And proceeded in harping for me to shoo.
Thus, I sighed and walked away,
It was the same as any other day,
She considered herself right all of the time,
Opinion of others didn’t exist to such lazy swine.
I’d continue this pestering rant about the lazy woman,
I would tell you all about her annoying qualm,
And I’m certainly still trying to remain unangered and calm,
However I’m almost late for my first class of the day,
So out the door I go now to get an education,
While there the lazy woman sleeps again,
Sawing Zs all the morning and through that same day.
