Childhood memories of the zoo.
The zoo
Animals like I’ve never, ever seen before
Horses with stripes upon their backs
And a bird they call macaw
Really big cats with really big heads
And hairy gorillas asleep in their beds
Birds that can swim and can’t even fly
Lots of young piglets that live in a sty
Birds with long legs that can run really fast
Snakes that can slither through the long grass
A thing called an elephant big and fat
And if you get to close they will steal your hat
Monkeys and gibbons swing through the trees
A bear that is scratching I think he’s got fleas
Spiders so big they could swallow you whole
And a funny little gofa that lives in a hole
Big greedy birds with big snapping beaks
And an ugly baboon with rosy red cheeks
The keeper throws fish to a fat old sea lion
He’s learned how to clap I think he’s called Brian
A panda from china is scoffing bamboo
These are the things I like at the zoo
