Then and now for all times to come the clock of change is running fast.

Then and now

The Victorian age poetry

Is no more contemporary

Today the world has moved on fast

As Obama has promised

To bring in change

As if it is a newer creation

Of this generation

So be it.

The world does no longer slumber

In the arms of a few selected in number

The kings and queens

Dress no more

Very few are left to them adore.

Times have changed

We all know

To Emperors we needn’t bow

 Julius Caesar was slain

 As a world’s Emperor

 He wanted to remain

As monarchical democracy takes over Friends and relatives make over

We have more kings and queens

Going about freely

None of them is worth

Anything really

They all are from the politicians fold

All they know is how to make gold.

Don’t worry times are a changing

Women will take the hold

Lost dead men in their graves

 Will turn around shivering cold
