A Conversation.

I walked along a forest trail,
beneath a pale blue sky;
no clouds appeared to darken,
the sun was bright and high.
I chanced upon a figure,
draped in purest white;
who bade me to remain a bit,
and make my burden light.
He spoke to me of passing time,
of life and love and pain;
then told me of the reason why,
He knew me by my name.
I came for you to tell you,
that this life is near its end;
but worry not my kindly man,
for you will rise again;
To My Kingdom you will come,
to spend eternity;
then He spoke of those I loved,
assuring me they’re free.
He urged me to deliver,
these perfect words to you;
that life is never over,
death just makes it new.
If you just remember,
that God is always there;
delight yourself in His love,
and know that He does care.
So, walk your life with purpose,
rejoice in every day;
for someday you will find Him,
there along the way.
