I don’t necessarily think that everyone is wannabee, cause there are a lot of very good writers on Triond, but, I do agree that we shouldn’t judge others. If a person doesn’t like a certain style, then, just don’t read that person’s work.

I agree with mphsglo . But unfortunately some think they know everything and start giving a lot of advices.

I am not agree. There is lot of worthy writers like you on triond, But all not spending much time, and some writers are not interesting to judge the others content.

    well said.
I really detest people who always think they are great, they keep pin-pointing on others writing, and spoil the market, Triond is a good place for writing, earning $ and learning, but as time passes by, some start to be arrogant and proud and put others down instead of encouraging one another, making this place a terrible place to stay. Focus on own writings, advice are definitely appreciated though. Give man a chance, don’t be too critical, give a pat on the shoulder but not hitting too hard, the shoulders are weak, be softer please, lol.

    Both agree and disagree.

Speak for yourself. I have been paid for articles in a national technical magazine. I am paid to write as part of my work and have been for over 30 years. Maybe I don’t measure up to your standards? There are quite a few who are worthy of being called writers. Admittedly some write very bad.

I will start reviewing your work and commenting. Fair enough?

I don’t think people on Triond are there to judge others. Most just want to write and have their writing appreciated.

I basically prefer to contact the writer by message, to give them some advice or tips, rather than judging them openly. That is only with the writers, that I am comfortable to communicate on any topic.

None of us are perfect, even professional expert writers. We learn by our mistakes. So never judge anyone. That is my policy.

I strongly feel that amateur writers should be judged by other amateurs.. Good topic here Sunshine

  • djbtol on Jul 27, 2011

Certainly there must be some writers good enough to offer suggestions for improvement to another writer. When they do this, there is an inherent judgment. But if the suggestion is obviously given in kindness, then it is a good thing. It might be best first to ask someone for permission to give a few suggestions.

The intent of what you say is good – we should give each other lots of room to express ourselves differently.

All writers need to start somewhere, right?

  • Shirley Shuler on Aug 7, 2011

Hi Lady Sunshine, as I am sure you know, I am not here to judge anyone, I just want to write :) .

All writers need to start somewhere. I’m not here to put no one down. Everybody is great! I appreciate everyone’s writing.

stay focused and stay encouraged! Don’t worry about high class people. degree’s don’t make you!
