THERE IS

There is someone in my life who is special

There is someone who is always there

Whenever I am feeling sad and lost

There is someone who truly cares

There is someone who I can turn to

There is someone who can help

Whether I call to tell good news or bad

There is someone who wants to know

There is someone who is my friend

There is someone whom I can love

No matter what time of day or night

There is someone to hold me up

There is someone who is gentle

There is someone who is strong

And even when I’m so down on life

There is somewhere who makes me smile

                   ~

This someone of course is one person

This someone is truly the best

He is quite simply a wonderful soul

And someone who I can trust

                   ~

I am so grateful that I have him

He is the best friend I could ever want

I truly hope I can return to him

All the love and support I have known
