Suspended in mid stride, a surreal life. with marbles for eyes and still he died.
There is a way
The invader’s evil cape flag signals our escape
As daylight slips
The nighttime replaces the Sun’s day
The Moon becomes our light
I hear the danger ring out
Near water’s edge
And soon I am afoot and eager to flee
With everyday the pressures take my air
I ponder the world
That is here but not really there
and realize that I am still distant
The stories tell of cold circles that will grow
Words being uttered and judgments muttered
and the focal point is who I do not know
But I am nothing what would someone want with me?
With everyday the pressures takes my air
I ponder my place
and realize that I am still distant
With everyday the pressures takes my air
When all that I see suffocates
Still I am not alone although I seem to be
One day soon a change will come about
for some, for me, for us
The things I will be able to do and clearly see
Will be life like I know and I trust
and I want that, wish for that hungrily happily
