Satisfaction comes in many forms. Only some live on in lasting purpose.

There is an ecstasy
That leaps from unbridled passion
Transports to the swelling crest of pure emotion
Crashing crest of frothing frenzy
Gently ebbs away

**

There is an ecstasy
That boils like bilious bile
Spews vile in the face of vanquished hard-fought foe
Ringing peal of bitter victory
Only alive in tales

**

There is an ecstasy
That’s born of God’s creation
Slowly swells the breast of the pure in heart
Rainbow soft in dew-kissed glade
Sweet as fragrant praise

**

There is an ecstasy
That envelopes aching shoulders
Settled contented sigh from job well done
Renewed poise to face tomorrow
Cocoon of satisfaction

Beautiful picture of worship. rutherfranc is right – it does depend on how you see things. I see the fingerprints of God in all of His creation.
