The acquisition of a language is very important. The meaning of words can help to understand for instance what an author implies in his writings or the message of film producer what to communicate to the public. The film based on the book of Umberto Eco "The Name of the Rose" is a good example to illustrate this.

Umberto Eco is a italian author and therefore from the Mediterrean Sea where French and Spanish are the dominant languages. He wrote a book “The Name of the Rose” which has become a film in which Sean Connery was the main actor. The movie was released at a crucial moment in history where there was a debate between the public and the private concept more precisely about the state and the religion of public owned businesses and privatisation. This happened all over Europe and in Asia as well as in Brazil with the emerging of intellectuals. The movie “The Name of the Rose” is important because in French it is translated as there is a bad smell. Films which express the problems of society like the one of Umberto Eco should be encouraged because they teach how to behave in case of a catastrophe.
