Poem in honor of the greatest tragedy my lifetime has come to see my country befall thus-far.

There they stood

Tall, proud, mighty, and respected

The wind whistled through them

As they surveyed the land

Having the best and highest view in the land

The twins knew no opposition

There they stood

Only friends and honor

Until the day they were ravaged

Two great flyers came with means to feed a hunger

And feed it they did

There they stood

No more
