This is a poem about the God in you, and His greatness inside of you.
Something inside me is crying out,
Telling me softly not to doubt.
There’s greatness within you, you must explore.
You’re filled with gifts and talents that you cannot ignore.
How can I believe this when all I see
Are the mistakes and flaws that lie within me?
You are made in my likeness, a spiritual being,
Clothed in mortality that blinds you from seeing.
You must be able to tap into me,
And see all that you were meant to be.
I am afraid to soar and to be made great
Who’s going to see me with all my mistakes?
It’s not you they will see while you succeed,
But Me who made you a creative being.
You are made for a purpose, and made with a plan.
Guided by my spirit, and held with my hands.
Don’t take it lightly for why you are here.
You are sheltered in my arms, and in my loving care.
Forget the naysayers, and those with the curse
Of spewing out vain words without knowing the verse.
They don’t know your greatness. They don’t have a clue.
They don’t even know what I’ve said about you.
Just listen to my voice and follow my lead.
You will never regret where you will be.
I started to believe that still small voice,
And felt a great urge to sing and rejoice.
Rejoice for my failures, rejoice for my pain.
Rejoice for my birth and rejoice for my name.
For the journey to greatness was all aligned,
And etched in a place that holds no time.
