There’s hope on this planet of sorrow,
As long as we hear the birds sing …..

Poem:

There’s hope on this planet of sorrow,

As long as we hear the birds sing;

Hope for a brighter tomorrow,

Arriving like blossoms in spring,

Peals of significant triumph

Of liberty high on the wing.

There’s hope on this planet of mourning,

As long as we heed the cry

Of those afflicted and groaning

Before they tragically die,

Their pains being felt within us,

Selfishly not pass them by;

The world is full of the blessings

Of lovers who’ll always be there,

With feelings kindling, progressing,

Easing the pangs of despair,

Lifting the fallen, downtrodden,

Accepting the challenge to care.

There’s hope in this world of disorder,

As long as flowers bloom,

Hope as horizons get broader,

In spite of the ominous gloom,

Within the fair limits of justice,

Outside the realm of doom.
