About war, and the children who endure it.
The battle weary remnants
Of a former place to dwell
Take on the ghastly visage
Of an Earthly state of hell
Bound by laws of chaos
And corrupted by decay
But after all the soldiers
Have packed and gone away
It?s children come out cautiously
They peep and then they creep
Making sure it?s safe again
For playing in the street
As if the war had never been
They laugh and jump and sing
Oh, children are resilient
They can handle anything
At least we somehow must believe
The children will pull through it
Or else, it should be obvious,
That nobody would do it
