Think about the men and women in third world countries,
They can’t afford food while we’re enjoying munchies,
I know we can’t pick where we are born,
For the people not born here, it leaves my heart torn,
I’ll be a constant reminder, a gentle thorn,
If you read my poems you might just mourn,
Think about the babies in the freezing cold,
The mom says it’ll get better, that’s what their told,
There is no bright future in my eyes,
I really wish there was a man in the skies,
We should all stick together and realize,
That the skin color doesn’t matter, it’s just a disguise,
Imagine little girls forced into prostitution,
Things like that fill the world with pollution,
We are so lost in our land of the free,
Imagine being born in a third world country,
It hurts my heart to write one word,
I shed many tears as a messenger bird,
I see the news and it gives me the blues,
I wish i could help if I just had the dues,
I’m not well off, I don’t have millions,
When a war starts they accidentally kill civilians,
Imagine being blown up and before living good,
You are not even safe in your neighborhood,
You are walking to work because there is no cars,
You have no roof you can see the stars,
Your children are screaming for food, that’s crude,
I hope when you are reading, I don’t seem rude,
I’m so sorry about my attitude,
But I can’t stand by and be a regular dude,
I have to write what I think,
And if you don’t like it, then go buy a mink,
They are babies that are born with AIDS,
There is no one to watch them, there is no maids,
Their T-cell count drops and their body gets weak,
It’s not their fault they are born that way their future is bleak,
Imagine the children of Iraq,
Their parents could be killed in a missile attack,
Or stray bullets just flying about,
They were shot at targets but they went off route,
Those stray bullets could end a life,
Maybe someones daughter or someones wife,
Imagine the poor people in our own country,
I will never stop writing so go ahead and punch me.
