What inspired me to compose this poem was a lovely lady who happens to be sitting right next to me when I was having lunch the other day. Well, I wasn’t able to seduce my way to her, but she gave me some sort of adrenaline boost that afternoon. Chances are slim that we might see each other again so I decided to translate what I felt during those heavenly 15 minutes that she was only a few inches away from me.
This can’t be true
The very first time I saw you
I don’t know what to say
I don’t know what to do
One things for sure
I can’t take my eyes off you
To me you are like Helen
And I would give up Troy for you
I would travel not knowing where to go
Hoping I would end up right next to you
How unbelievable what love can do
Specially for someone like me who had fallen for you
How can I deny what I feel for you?
When everybody seems to know that my heart belongs to you
Even though you might answer with a hurtful “No”
I would still pursue my feelings for you
That is how deep, my love for you.
