Once upon a time

Before we took a Bite

And shared in the knowledge

Of right and wrong

We took the path

To lose right than win wrongly

To take the narrow path

Go not where the road may lead

Instead, leave a trail

Press a mark

In the fecund memory of Nature

This is our accepted burden

This is our story

‘Cos the things we know

And seen in ages past

Provides the strength in our bones

Blesses the wind in our sails

Ignites the love in our heart

Strengthens our spirits

Against the icy winds of Life

Reviving our Mind

To Beauty and Righteousness

Defenders of the Faith we are

When our Fortunes decline

When Darkness sets in

And we can’t clearly see ahead

When the water is up our neck

When the journey through arid deserts

Renders us weak and thirsty

Hopeless and forlorn

We’ll press on

We’ll still find the way to the Light

To the Light of the World

To fulfillment

May our flaws not dampen our resolve

May the World not win us over

May we be part of the cure

Not a part of the malady

Mercy be upon us

Our quest for Wisdom

Shall bring us closer to the Truth

May we be the ones hanging on the Cross

In unity with the Good Shepherd

And not the ones banging in the Nails
