This song / poem is about moving away. It could be to another town or even a few blocks down the street. When I was a kid I moved from town to the country, but everytime I drive by my old house I think about where I use to live. I think this compostion says it all.
This Is Where I Use To Live
Go on drive upon the streets
please tell me what you see?
flash backs of what lies in the past
normally the years don’t go that fast
but they do, they do. . .
Take a look at the people I use to know
the neighborhood has changed so much
Houses emerge, people you would strive to know
that no one can remain a child no more
This is where I use to live
these were the games I played
these are the dreams that stayed
I know I wont forget you
Take a moment to speak
to look at the same old faces
reuniting with old friends
take a moment to walk through this old neighborhood
take time to notice a growing town
the trees have grown
the people are one
this was my home
This is where I use to live
these were the game I played
these are the dreams that stayed
I know I will never forget you
This Is Where I Use To Live
