My attempt at describing the courage and the heart it takes to learn something from a hard life or even a difficult situation, no matter what. If a person makes it through a recent catastrophe, it is only because of knowledge gained from a hard past.

I am unbreakable cold mountain wind
Turning impervious rock into leagues of warm sand
Scars remember and conjure intelligence
From the sharpest of knives thrown by a mirrored docent

I am unbeaten concern for my friends
Even though careless abandon is mine in the end
A shattering heart interrupts new beginnings
But unwavering faith teaches peaceful forgiving

I am unfailing courageous folly
Changing turns of mistrust into serendipity
A freedom elixir that swamps my guarded riding in the rain
While others stay lost and fenced in hiding

From this wounding road
