God hears our prayers as we say them and I believe records them in his judgment book.He sends down an answer this is true, but not always the one that you were expecting.

I heard your prayer to me Thomas Richards and its been a very long time since

you have said one.You asked me for help when you had no one else to turn to it

seems and expects me to help you.You finally lost your job because you couldn’t

stay sober enough to get it done or show up on time.Last week the bank took back

your new truck because you couldn’t afford the payments anymore.Your wife of 15

years had enough and fled with your four kids a few months ago didn’t she? Just

because she didn’t press charges against you for hitting her like you did don’t make

it right.I see the divorce papers still where you threw them up against the wall last

night, you know you are going to have to read them sometime. The foreclosure also

came today and you have exactly thirty days to clear out before the bank takes it

back to.Bacon, eggs, ham and toast along with coffee sounds great about now

doesn’t it Thomas or am I wrong that you haven’t eaten in days?If you had went

to the store instead of buying those round of drinks at the bar,you could have a

decent breakfast.

******

Yes ,I heard all you had to say plus some on that day you asked for my help. Now

its time for you to listen to what I have to say in response to your prayer. When your

wife asked you to attend church with her and the kids, you refused and told her why

should you?You took my name in vain many times and told her to pray for help since

you didn’t have the time. But you took the time to go down to Joe’s Tap and get drunk

that Sunday night didn’t you?You have never once heard me take your name in vain

nor will you ever since its wrong,I have never disrespected you Thomas ,so why must

A wonderfully interpreted answer to a belated prayer. Nicely done.

Yes, we as mortals think one way and yet God knows what is best. Well composed with a great message. Thank you, friend.

True indeed, most will only ask god for help if they found out that their abilities, wealth, fame are all gone. However, god will give all the chances to repent.

A good adaptation of the Lord and the Drunk.
This showed the true evil of alcohol that affects many who cannot handle it.
Unfortunately the Alcoholic will poo poo this as will many hardened drug addicts feed their habits and do not recognise the harm they are doing to the people around them as well as themselves.
However I feel that the realisation of the truth is the only thing that can help a person and if they don’t respond then nothing can help them.

    Best Wishes

    Tim

Oh Payge. Your work touches so deeply and is so real. It’s almost painful to read, and I can’t imagine how painful to write. Wisdom obtained at great price is nothing to be ashamed of, and yet many people are. Sharing it as you do is the mark of a truly generous and caring person.

The wisdom you have gained is shining. Thank you for sharing.

Yes far too many Thomas Richards running around.
