A poem based on a college student’s view of his peers.

The professors rambling
swallowed by hungry ears
his pupils divided in two
-those who care, and those who don’t.
The pupils’ futures clear
results in the corporate ladder
show what caring really means
-those who cared order those who didn’t.
Goals burn in the pupils’ eyes
realities elicit different responses
some fear the future, some run towards it
and those who care pity those who don’t
