A bit of feeling and emotion in a bowl.
I get most of my inspiration to write through the experiences that I have been through, of course, I feel that if your not using your own knowledge or experiences than your not writing. These are 3 poems, or songs really so do not mind the grammar I just forgot the notes. I was probably intoxicated or high, sorry, but it is the truth, I use to usually only write on bad days to vent and now I cannot stop. Better than drinking I suppose, and much more effective. The first is a song I wrote for my late Uncle Tom, who was also one of my best friends, a great man that died of a broken heart. Everyone thinks it was the Cancer, but I knew bettter.
The second is from a moment where, well, I could not stand the sight of anyone. Booze is the Devil’s water and sometimes we use it to shower. I’m pretty sure you will get it.
The third one is a compilation of my deepest thoughts and questions. Enjoy!
Please.
Needful things are painful memories
We can never tend to let them fade
Still we seem to cry
When familiar faces look alive
Lover’s that left
While we go to death
Don’t let it be in vain
Sow your seed
Make amends of things
And live on
Sold the farm
Bought a house
Now there’s nothing left to remember better days
So before memory fades
And beauty dissipates
I’ll get a glimpse of how it should’ve been
Forever just the same
He said
“Hurry get a hint just a pinch then take a sprint headed the other way”
Don’t let time catcha
At least not in a court case
Never slow at your race
Watch your back but death’ll still getcha
I could call you friend
I could call you entertainer
I could call you when
I’m ready to begin
To let it all end
Your pushin on me wind
Picture how I’m feeling
A monstrous whirlwind
Couldn’t lift me up
So don’t you try
I want to be low
Hold myself here
Below my threshold
I just want to be low
I could call it quits
But just a bit around the bend
