Another day in my saga of a week of challenges.

Thursday started better;
With notes from friends and happy things.
Springtime sunshine
Makes the heart take wings.

Driving down the road,
Trees lift a haze of green,
Along the road,
A Frieze of blossoms seen.

Day is chugging right along,
Nothing special
But I know…
I’ve got three days behind me
And only one to go.

The bookfair arrives with Kindergarten
(Worse timing I’ve never seen.)
So I start them singing,
To keep from being mean.

We headed out to recess then
(What you mean?  Hands to self?
I was only playing–
Says the precocious little elf.)

Head back in, and after lunch
Students help to set the bookfair about
We were just lining up for the bus,
when the office gave a shout–

Typo in a yearbook ad!
And it is going to the press!
(How did that escape me?
That’s anybody’s guess!)

I search my files; I find the ad
I retype, and I fix.
I remind myself that stressing out
repairing stuff  don’t mix!

I help finish setting up the fair,
Grab my stuff and git…
Thankful this week has but one more day
AND THEN I’M DONE WITH IT!!!!

I’m still with you on this. The week can be so long. You describe it so well.

Another well done poem. My Thur night was worse than Wed. Last night it was 1:00 am when I finally found my way home and after 2:00 am before I found my bed. Glad today is Fri because I am almost dead.

Sounds like you work as a teacher. Been there, done that – still having nightmares! (Just kidding – the nightmares stopped 5 years after I left teaching!) But seriously, now that I am at home, everyday is Saturday.
