A Japanese artist once told me, "Love a garden as you would a woman." In my young age, I replied, "Love a woman as you would a garden." No longer young, except in Love (smile…!), I still hold on to what I said.

This timber of a feeling
Hovered on in full weight your dorm’s door
Years you skirted my timid mountain
When my back peaked at your full flower
To fetch your foothold, or to garden your still pool
I should have rocked, and water-lilied
