Time to be me

Its’ time for me to pick up my speed

To stand on my own two feet.

It’s time for me to be me,

 To do what I have to do,

To get what I need.

If I continue to lie there,

Indeed I will never succeed.

I do believe it’s time to stay clean-

 I am not a failure.

I am a success.

I just need to dismiss the shame and distress.

 If I keep that all bottled down, I should have no reason to frown.

If only this disease would ever just give it a rest.

I have to begin now if I have any intentions of winning left.

Today I have no doubt, if I do not change my life.

It is surly running out.
