A poem of a uncle long been seperated from his nieces and his observations of their growth over the years in his absence. Family is important.
Time does pass just like a stranger,
going by I do wager,
changes happen I can’t see,
time paints a new picture for me,
baby nieces with diapers crawl,
baby nieces cute like dolls
baby nieces with books in hand,
baby nieces in a band,
baby nieces bows in hair,
baby nieces with teenage flair,
now it’s time for me to ponder where the baby nieces wondered.
My baby nieces are still there with long and flowing hair
all grown up they’ve bloomed like flowers,
now they have alluring powers,
they brighten up a room shinning like the sun,
being with them is so fun.
All grown up now these ladies I see,
are still my baby nieces to me,
through loved filled glasses I see their true form,
cute little girls with curls adorned,
I miss my baby nieces and I hope to see them soon,
I just hope they know I care,
I want to tell them I like their hair,
Time has done such wonders,
Over the years he has painted a picture,
So beautiful I can’t believe,
Of two beautiful women looking at me,
Time has worked wonders for all to see,
this picture he has painted amazes me.
My eyes are struck with an uncle’s pride,
I cannot hide my appreciation for time,
Time is no longer a stranger,
For I did bet and wager,
that he would take care of these,
Thank you time for all you’ve done in my absence
You have kept them well and happy for me,
So until I see them again
Time do be my friend
