A poem where the speaker longs to visit distant times…but then remembers what is really important.

Time Trek

Oh to journey far away

To the land of yesterday

To see the Romans Iron-clad,

Standing proud, spear in hand

To wander through Egyptian dunes

See the mighty pharaoh tombs

To joust and ride a horse of war

Enter the dark medieval lore

To sail the ocean with Mr. Columbus

Discover the place that would become-US

It is ever such a splendid dream

But I’m fine here…I have T.V.
