A life in haikus.
Different
She sits, waits, alone;
Chairs on each side stay empty.
Why? Judged unknown.
Hope 1
Daffodils paint banks yellow
Pinks, whites, lilacs; sounds bright and mellow
All bring hope to this fellow
Lovers
Eyes catch, speak and hold
So much to say, still untold;
Hearts hope and grow bold.
Love1
Ice lies thick and cold
The chill wind blows harsh and bold
Still, hearts warm thoughts hold
Love 2
Chocolate black his face,
Bright his eyes as life they chase.
His smile my saving grace.
Hope
White fields become green,
Plough turns fecund yellow brown.
Still, he may return.
Model 50
Once an object of desire
I’ve lost the power to fuel his fire:
Oil lost, paint cracked, rust dire.
Unwanted
For so long I tried
At each ‘no’ I sighed, I cried
Till my tears all dried.
Sad
Petals float air borne
Birds fly fast, returning home
She sits, still, alone.
Finality
Beneath a brown mound,
Flowerless, she lies; alone,
As she sat in sunsets.
