My body is sore and I ache all over

From a hard day job over night

On my feet the whole time

Lifting heavy objects most of the time

Pain does not allow the body to relax

So I close my eyes with sleep in mind

But I know it will not come to me as desired

I am tired but cannot rest

A hot shower on this cold day

Might help but I am sure it will not hurt

To loosen up my muscles

That only time can make better

Because the body remember

The things that I am trying to forget

At this stage in my life

I am attempting to pocket any regrets

I dream of a time with memories of hard times

When I can be free of struggle and pain

I feel this reality will not be far away

Where I can rest and be free again
