FESTIVE CHEER.
Anticipation of snow and faces a glow
The Christmas season is nigh
Children writing lists of gifts
Waiting for Santa to fly
A wonderful buzz of excitement
Through every street and town
All around are beautiful colours and lights
To relinquish any frown
Shopper’s hustle and bustle for gifts of pure delight
Then rush and huddle into bars to escape the frosty night
It’s a time when strangers become the best of friends
Whilst they share among the cheer
As after all this merry season comes but only once a year
Let’s hope this Christmas is the best one yet
With laughter, fun and tears
A magical, memorable, medley of fun
To last thorough the year.
