This is a new horror poem I wrote,I do write horror but I am now beginning to dabble with horror poetry.Hope it scares the hell out of you,if not I shall try harder the next time.

She looked in the mirror
She didn’t like what she saw
Possessed by a demon
She began to claw

Willing herself to come forth
And fight
In the mirror the demon
In her sight

A battle she fought
With all her heart
Knowing full well the demon
Had a head start

Her words echoed into the mirror
Like a veil of all time
She prayed to God for help
She knew her life
Lay on a thin line

She yelled at the mirror
To break the curse
Of the demon inside
Who made her thirst

I will to be set free
Of the rage that feeds you inside
Like a plague
Spreading throughout my body
As though I have died

I will be set free
Of the unending
Vile anger
That is just to much
All things broken
By your touch

I will be set free
From the evil within
The nastiness
That shows no shame
Leading me down the path of sin

I will be set free
From you demon
That feels nothing but hate
That shows no remorse
That takes away my fate

I will be set free
From the abuse
You inflict upon others
From your pain
Only Satan has to gain

BY ALL THINGS HOLY
I WILL BE SET FREE
OF YOU DEMON

At that the mirror broke
Trapping the demon
Inside
Down on her knees
She thanked God and cried

The weight of the demon
Now left her like his sin
A lesson she had learned
To never sell her soul again

Only through sheer humility can we come to find peace again!!! ‘Tis the nature of human to sin, but the desire of our true indentity that can brake us free from such self affliction ….
