This is another horror poem I wrote about the constant battle between good and evil existing in daily human life.I enjoy writing horror as well as horror poetry because the human mind will never cease to be fascinated by the uknown. Hope you enjoy and as always hope it provokes some deep dark thoughts and scares the hell out of you lol.

For years I tried to hide it
To keep the dark secret to myself
But now the whispers grow in strength
No more can I keep it at a safe length

Hellish nightmares
They never cease
It’s too much to ask
For just a little peace

Always fighting them
Never giving in
Praying to God
For my sin

The devil wants me
To claim my soul
To take me to hell
It is his goal

His greatest achievement
Is that is does not exist
But believe what I say
Jesus died
Because Judas kissed

If he comes knocking
At your door
Pray for Jesus to answer it
Forever more

But now he threatens
If I don’t succumb
He will lay claim to my children
And their children to come

So do I continue to fight
Or do I give in
Do I save my children
Will they pay for my sin

I’ve made my mind up
I’m gonna open the door
I will pray for God’s mercy
For my children lives
And so much more

It’s such a foreboding piece; but I love the faith in god, which provides a glimmer of hope. Nice piece!
