This was written the day after my instructor who I was close to died.

To Master Chief:

We’ll never know why. but what we do know is we cried. You told us never to do it, but you did it anyway. We will never know why you jumped that day. Why did you hurt us so bad? You mad us so mad. You will never know how important you were to us. We hoped it wasn’t true. We hoped it wasn’t real. We were told you were through and we had to deal. You could have talked to one of us. Now who would be there like you were for us. That’s why I say, we’ll never know why you jumped that day.
