A poem for my wife.

My Precious

My heart is restless

When I found you homeless

My soul was purged and sleepless

So long you remain aimless

You are lost in pain

Suffering your fate without complain

Nothing remains in you but iron chain

And tears dropping like rain

You’ve gone so far away

Memories have gone astray

In unexpected place to my dismay

I found you in disarray

No sorrow, no grief

Can wrap the golden gift

Of humble love I give

To a woman whom I live

My Carol, oh my only one

My dreams and hopes were done

In my heart you’re the only one

Because of you my fears have gone

What can separate you?

In my old company

Death, sorrow, destiny and fate

To you my only way
