For my fiancee (now my beloved wife). Part poem, part proposal.

The apprehension about you
Suddenly faded into a void
I had a million questions to ask before
But now I just want you by my side

I don’t get drunk by your presence
But I’m definitely getting there

The roses seem so much redder
The violets are so much bluer
Since a little princess has entered my life
This world seems so much newer

I’m not nuts about you
But I’m definitely getting there

The bittersweet feeling I get when you ask
With your big dark-brown eyes
“How long will you stay? When will you come back?”
I miss you so much I could die

I don’t get lost in your eyes
But I’m definitely getting there

Your fears, your joys, your thoughts
A new orientation in my life
I feel it all around me, your essence
Will you be my beloved wife?

I’m not in love with you
But I’m definitely getting there
