A quip about St. Patrick’s Day.

I’ve never been much for St. Patrick’s Day as I am not Irish you see.
But my sister-in-law is not Irish I know and even less human as I see
And let us not laugh but cackle like geese on voyages long and bleak
If the likes of her can be whatever she says, I am now Irish you see
I don’t care much for jokes since the jokes always been on me
But may I say that from deep within this ancient heart a thank you to you
Irish by blood.
You treated me today with a vision of pure nuts and maple syrup in buttery hassock form
Forever and a day I will be Irish in spirit and when I break into laughter, I will remember you
