Oh what an odd combination

Agony, yet exhileration

Pain, but there is pleasure

A feeling of elation mixed with terror

As the lungs scream out of starvation

And the legs beg, yea plead for a seconds rest

For maybe that would be enough to keep from falling in a heap of spent mucle and worne bone

And the lonely willpower trying, agains all odds, to keep from showing them that the worst is yet to come
