A mother’s practical and somewhat humorous Christmas list to Santa.

Now that Christmas is drawing near,
I’ve made a tiny list this year;
I’ve been a good mom and wife, you see,
And I’d like to have something just for me.

Perhaps, for one day, to be as a queen,
Someone to cook, someone to clean;
Do away with that laundry pile,
And grant me a little peace for a while.

I ask for patience when the kids are bad,
And a little more energy, if I could add;
Could you possibly give me fuller lips,
And take a little off of my hips?

How about some extra cash,
But could I get it in a flash?
I’d like my bills to all be paid,
They’re piling up quickly, I’m afraid.

Well, Santa, that’s my Christmas list,
I hope there is nothing that I have missed,
And before I go, I’d like to say
That I hope you’ll remember me on Christmas Day.

    This is so cute, and oh so true. Seems mom always gets left out at Christmas.
