A prayer. Cancer is an insidious monster.

A man once told me

That I’m beautiful

Just the way I am

And I believed him

He was my father

The first man I know

The first man I loved

My thoughts are with you

Constantly praying

Forever hopeful

Always believing

Don’t ever give up

Don’t ever give in

Keep fighting the fight

I can’t imagine

What you’re going through

Or the intense pain

You are suffering

Just know your daughter

Loves you very much

And is always here

Dwelling in your heart

I love you daddy

Hi Lady Sunshine, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I can’t imagine the pain and suffering your father is going through, but I do know, your father is a very lucky man, he has you, and most of all, he knows how much he is loved!!

A beautiful tribute to father. You are your father’s girl.

Oh, I have plenty to say, Lady Sunshine. This is a stunnin poem in itself. But when I get to the meaning of the poem, I feel it is a real-life story of your love for a dad who has cancer. Am I right? If I am, I send him all my best thoughts and wishes throughout this terribly painful and scary time.

Love to you too, Lady Sunshine.

I think this one is probably too personal to share with anyone but “Daddy”. Unless,… does he come online here too?

I think it’s commendable to say what you’ve said here; it honors him. I think he’ll be proud. I know I would be proud to have my daughters say or write such things.

You were not obligated to share this with anyone but him, so I thank you greatly for sharing. It takes courage to do so.

Be steadfast for him. Take care.

Still, I hope everything turns out okay.
