To whom it may concern, this letter is for you .
About a man I raised from birth ,and great things he could do.
As a child of seven, he was bigger then his peers.
On the football field, he would always get such cheers.
At the age of ten years old ,he came to me for work .
“Said DAD,I need to make some CASH”,I couldn’t be a jerk .
So he worked hard that summer ,man I was so impressed .
Of all the labor ,I employed ,that boy he was the best.
At thirteen he broke his leg ,the doc said, “he was done”,
with football and with all other sports ,he didn’t know my son.
The next spring he showed up to practice, at the runners track.
The coach could not believe his eyes, “how could this boy be back”
By mid august ,he had not only made the team ,
they started him at varsity center ,man my heart did beam.
The next four years he shined so bright, that people came to see ,
if he would come and play football at there University.
So he agreed and it was fun ,he played division one.
The next for years, I watched him play ,this man I call my son .
He graduated ,got a job and moved so faraway .
I don’t get to see him much, but he calls on fathers day .
To ask me how I’m doing, and to tell me of his plan.
I listen to his dreams, and ask him if he needs a hand.
But he always says ,dad i just need, to know that you are there .
And i tell him, like I always have, son i will always be here.
So I write this letter to anyone ,”OR”to whom it may concern.
sometimes, when you raise a man, there’s so much that you learn…
