I may or may not know you

But I want you to know

I dream of the day

When someone understands

All of me as a person

My ups, my downs, my hopes, my desires

Someone who I can talk to without fear.

One I can listen to without drifting off

One who shares some of my favorite

Things to do, places to visit, and

Someone who is as open to change

As I am, and someone who has

Differences that I am willing to learn

Or adapt to because I love you

And can give up myself to you

Without feeling like it is a shot

To my ego, I can just because

I care enough to care about you.

I know that you are in this world

But what I don’t know is if I have

Met you before, or if you are already

Around in my life.  Please show

Yourself to me, I need you in

My presence, now and until
