Too much food
and wine in the parties
I’ve attended,
even in the stories
and advertisements
I’ve read
and seen,

as if gluttony
is no longer
a sin . . . .
Excuse me
but these
don’t matter to me
anymore!

Yes, I can relate. Everyone seems to work so hard to show their Christmas spirit, but I can’t forget that we have once again a law enforcement officer (shot by a drunk) clinging to life in the hospital. My present will be that he survives. My best present is always that during our family get-together, I will see all of my children together in the same room. Have a peaceful Christmas to you and your family.
