To make people think about things before they post another song, love message, sports score, quote, etc. on Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Etc.
Things that are irritating about status updates, tweets, etc:
1st. When someone posts a song lyric as their status and doesn’t give any credit to the artist. If you don’t say it a song we’re gonna think that’s what’s on your mind!!
2nd. When people are talking to someone specific, but post it as a status. That’s what PMs and Chats are for. If you don’t specify we don’t know for sure who your talking to.
3rd. when someone writes out a status that people are naturally going to ask questions about, then later posts a status in frustration because they don’t want people to ask them about it.
4th. When someone posts a status about the score of the sports game they’re watching. If we wanted to know, we’d go to ESPN ourselves.
5th. posting a quote from someone else, but never giving them the credit for it. That’s called Plagiarism folksā¼
6th. When someone says “I love you” or something to that regard in their status. Yes we get it, you really like your boyfriend or girlfriend, but please tell them with you cell phone for crying out load!
7th. When someone posts something that is clearly a spam message as their status. I have enough to look through, without your spam!!
8th. Posting a weather update as your status. Thanks for letting us know, but I can just as easily look on my phone or go to the weather channel.
9th. Status’s that read: “I’m bored” or “is bored” We get that you’re bored you’re on FB like every minute of everyday!!
10th. When people post rants, or flames, as status’. Yes this one would be an example: an expression of my currently cynical thoughts about the stuff that clutters up FaceBook. I thought that it would be wise of me to post this note simply to make people think about things before they post another song, love message, sports score, quote, etc.
Fankely, I’m tired of getting the wrong impression when I read your statuses, and reading things that really have nothing to do with you. I read your status to get a clue as to where your at in your heart & mind, not get the score on the game…
