Tossing Rocks

I am a rock

Tossed into the waters

Of the universe.

The impact of my being

Is evident in the ripples.

I am the rock,

I am the water,

I am the wholeness

Of the cosmos

Made manifest

Within a man,

Me.

Like an artist who stares

At his finalized painting

And sees himself,

I – the man.

Look out into the world,

Lift your eyes to the heavens

To understand the simple truth

That I, the rock, am the

Universe made complete

To look at itself

With wonderment and joy

And be amazed.

I have been made aware that

I carry the heart of God.
